My contracts as an internet dietitian have been diverse over the past several years. For the past five years I have worked as the Director of CEU4U.COM, an educational company dedicated to providing continuing education credits to RDs and DTRs. As a Director, I hired, fired, trained authors, reviewers and ancillary personnel. I essentially developed the division from scratch and created the largest internet catalogue available online for RDs and DTRs to earn their five-year mandatory continuing education credits.
I also manage two other internet web sites, redscrubs.com and scrubtv.com where I make my presence known by posting medical videos and the top video, blog and news for the day, everyday. For a dietitian, these may be unusual job responsibilities. For me, they are a perfect fit for my needs and my lifestyle. This is a far cry from my old responsibilities of seeing home patients and providing home-based, family style nutrition education. I do not have to leave the house and can choose my own hours of participation although I do have deadlines to meet.
I currently do not seek any other contracts as I am busy all of my waking hours. I hope this provides our readers with a sense of "something else is out there" besides working in hospitals and nursing homes!
